ATLANTIC OCEAN (Dec. 12, 2016) – Petty Officer 3rd Class Jacob Beal, a native of Chicago, and Seaman Jeffery Martin, a native of Enterprise, Ala., repair a 25MM machine gun aboard amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7). Iwo Jima is underway pursuing Mobility-Engineering (MOB-E) and Mobility-Seaman (MOB-S) certifications as part of the ship’s pre-deployment qualification process.
