Marines with Kilo Co., 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment make their way to the well deck of USS Bataan (LSD-50) to conduct a mechanized raid Dec. 5, 2016 off the coast of Onslow Beach, North Carolina, during Amphibious Ready Group Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise. The simulated raid was conducted to better verse the infantry Marines in ship-to-shore movements from USS Carter Hall (LSD-50). During ARGMEUEX, Marines and will have tackled a wide range of operations and scenarios to improve their interoperability and amphibious warfare capabilities with their Navy counterparts.
