Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Ike’s culinary specialists are preparing more than 4,950 lbs. of turkey, 1,050 lbs. of ham, 1,200 lbs. of beef tenderloin, 648 lbs. of shrimp cocktail, 7,000 portions of mashed potatoes, 400 pies and 200 cheesecakes for the ship’s Thanksgiving meal. Harper serves aboard Ike as a culinary specialist. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
