161119-N-TQ690-003 TINH PROVINCE, Vietnam (Nov. 19, 2016) Archeologist Mr. Jeremy Decker, a scientific recovery expert with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), observes U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Ryan Theobald, an explosive ordnance disposal technician with DPAA, as he scans the unit for metal anomalies in the Ha Tinh Province, Vietnam. DPAA deployed seven experts to the area in hopes of recovering the remains of military personnel unaccounted-for from the Vietnam War. The mission of DPAA is to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation.
