161108-N-UJ449-034 SANTA RITA, Guam (Nov. 8, 2016) Sailors assigned to the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), man the rails after returning from a five month deployment, Nov. 8. Frank Cable departed Guam June 6, was a persistent presence throughout the Indo-Asia-Pacific region during its deployment providing vital flexibility to the fleet commanders, extending the range and impact of U.S. naval forces in the U.S. Navy's 5th and 7th Fleets. Forward deployed to Guam, Frank Cable's combined Navy and Military Sealift Command crew's mission is to provide critical war fighting repairs, rearmament, and reprovisioning to deployed Naval Forces of the United States.
