161024-N-IE397-030 ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 24, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Grant Mitchell, from Radford, Va., replaces gaskets on a downed aviator locator system on an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the Dusty Dogs of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 7 in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Mitchell serves aboard Ike as an aviation electronics technician and helps inspect, repair and maintain aircraft electronic systems. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
