Paul Selva, meet with Commander, U.S. Pacific Command Adm. Harry Harris to discuss the Third Offset Strategy and its implications for the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. This strategy combines technological, operational, and organizational concepts to create a decisive joint warfighting advantage. Key to the Third Offset Strategy will be artificial intelligence and autonomy, which will allow an entirely new level of human-machine symbiosis -- letting each do what they do best. In the PACOM area of responsibility, Russia, China and North Korea are pursuing weapon systems that challenge America’s operational advantage, so the joint team is working to offset their capabilities in a way that maintains the U.S. warfighting edge.
