161005-N-OI810-103 PHILIPPINE SEA (Oct. 5, 2016) Petty Officer 2nd Class (AW) Bobby Larose, from Stilwell, Oklahoma, assigned to the "Saberhawks" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 77, repairs a wire of a chip detector in the tail rotor gear box of an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter on the flight deck of the Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The chip detector senses loose metals within the gear box in the event of structural deterioration. Ronald Reagan, the Carrier Strike Group Five (CSG 5) flagship, is on patrol supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
