NAVAL BASE KITSAP-BREMERTON, Wash. (Sept. 30, 2016) - Petty Officer 3rd Class Christopher Duviella, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., directs the aircraft elevator operator during an aircraft transfer between the hangar bay and flight deck during a training exercise on board USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz is currently undergoing an extended planned incremental maintenance availability at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility where the ship is receiving scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
