More than just a keepsake passing...USS Gridley (DDG 101) Command Master Chief Kassel K. Ndiaye (L) accepts a ship's plaque from retired Chief Storekeeper Gene Hanson, a plank owner from USS Gridley (DLG 21) in Bremerton, Washington on Sept. 23, 2016. Hanson served on the guided missile cruiser in 1963 and 64 before retiring from a Navy career spanning 22 years and World War Two, the Korean War and Vietnam War.
