160923-N-XQ474-296 PHILIPPINE SEA (Sept. 23, 2016) U.S. Navy vessels attached to the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group and Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 5 transit the Philippine Sea in formation for a photo exercise during Valiant Shield 2016. Valiant Shield is a biennial, U.S. only, field-training exercise with a focus on integration of joint training among U.S. forces.
