PACIFIC OCEAN (September 8, 2016) – The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), consisting of amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45), and amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25), sails in formation off the coast of Southern California.
