160826-N-SJ730-220 SUNGAI PINANG, Indonesia (Aug. 26, 2016) Az Li, Sungai Pinang village elder, Royal Australian Navy Capt. Mike Spruce, deputy mission commander, Pacific Partnership 2016, and Col. Andohar, Tentara Nasional Indonesia, cut the ribbon for a new public restroom in the village. U.S. Navy Seabees attached to Amphibious Construction Battalion 1, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Four, and Tentara Nasional Indonesia service members worked together to build the restroom in Sungai Pinang during Pacific Partnership 2016. This is the fifth time Pacific Partnership has visited Indonesia. Partner nations are working side-by-side with local organizations during disaster response training, civil engineering projects, Women, Peace, and Security seminars, medical subject matter expert exchanges and a live field training exercise aimed at improving the capacity of local government, civilian agencies and partner militaries to collectively respond in crisis.
