During the exchange, Tentara Nasional Indonesia service members, Padang medical and emergency response personnel and Pacific Partnership personnel discussed the role of the Incident Command System in managing a mass casualty disaster, types of triage and basic life support during a natural disaster. This is the fifth time Pacific Partnership has visited Indonesia. Partner nations are working side-by-side with local organizations during disaster response training, civil engineering projects, Women, Peace, and Security seminars, medical subject matter expert exchanges and a live field training exercise aimed at improving the capacity of local government, civilian agencies and partner militaries to collectively respond in crises.
