160817-N-JP302-002 FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, Md. (Aug. 17, 2016) Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. John Richardson is greeted by Vice Adm. Mike Gilday, commander, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/U.S. 10th Fleet, during a visit to the headquarters. Richardson and Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) Mike Stevens held an all-hands call, and received briefings on various aspects of Navy Cyberspace Operations and support to Department of Defense Information Networks. U.S. Fleet Cyber Command serves as the Navy component command to U.S. Strategic Command and U.S. Cyber Command, and the Navy's Service Cryptologic Component commander under the National Security Agency/Central Security Service. U.S. 10th Fleet is the operational arm of Fleet Cyber Command and executes command and control over assigned forces in support of Navy and joint missions in cyber/networks, information operations, electronic warfare, cryptologic/signals intelligence and space.
