(Aug. 16, 2016) – A Sailor assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) Three places identification tags belonging to fallen Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician 1st Class Sean Carson onto a memorial statue during a remembrance ceremony held at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado. Carson, a Bronze Star with Valor and Purple Heart Medal recipient, died in the line of duty August 16, 2012 while serving in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.
