FLAGSTAFF, Arizona (Aug. 15, 2016) – A midshipman candidate dangles on rope stirrups 50 feet above the ground as other Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps midshipman candidates watch from below Aug. 15, 2016, at the Northern Arizona University’s Challenge Course in Flagstaff, Arizona, as part of joint New Student Orientation training. The weeklong NSO training took place Aug. 12-19, with half combined in the Flagstaff area alongside freshman candidates from the University of New Mexico and Arizona State University NROTC units, and the second half at The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
