160810-N-CV785-1079 KUANTAN, Malaysia (Aug. 10, 2016) Rear Adm. Don Gabrielson, prospective commander Task Force 73, salutes side boys aboard USNS Mercy (T-AH 19). Gabrielson visited the ship for a Pacific Partnership 2016 reception held aboard during the mission's stop in Malaysia. This is the first time Mercy and Pacific Partnership have visited Malaysia. During the mission stop, partner nations are working side-by-side with local military and civilian organizations in a search and rescue exercise, civil engineering projects, subject matter expert exchanges and community relation events.
