160807-N-DA693-204 PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 7, 2016) Sailors, family and friends observe a jet engine demonstration on USS John C. Stennis' (CVN 74) fantail. The demonstration was part of a schedule of events put together for a tiger cruise, an opportunity for Sailors to invite their family and friends to experience life underway aboard a Navy ship. Providing a combat-ready force to protect collective maritime interests, John C. Stennis is on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment.
