160706-N-XX566-032 JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM (July 6, 2016) - Electronics Technician 3rd Class Levi Runstrom, from Augusta, Montana, performs a periodic maintenance check on the SPN-46 radar aboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) during Rim of the Pacific maritime exercise 2016. RIMPAC, held from June 30 to Aug. 4, in and around the Hawaiian Islands and southern California, will include 26 nations, more than 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel. Providing a combat-ready force to protect collective maritime interests, John C. Stennis is operating as part of the Great Green Fleet on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment.
