Richard Nowatzki, who served on board the aircraft carrier USS Hornet (CV 8) during the 1942 Battle of Midway, speaks to the crew of the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), on the 74th anniversary of the event. Hornet was later sunk in the Battle of Santa Cruz Islands. America is the first ship of its class and is optimized for Marine Corps aviation.
