Lee Ermey celebrates the USS Makin Island (LHD 8) crew’s achievements following a frocking ceremony on the ship’s flight deck, during which 82 Makin Island Sailors promoted to the next pay grade. Ermey and his film crew visited Makin Island in order to document the ship’s operations, weapons systems and crew while underway.
