SASEBO, Japan (May 23, 2016) Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Rear Adm. Hideaki Yuasa, commander of Mine Warfare Force, greets Capt. Kristy McCallum, commanding officer of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20). Members from JMSDF, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and Expeditionary Strike Group 7 took a tour of the ship in order to assess Green Bay’s underway capabilities. Green Bay is attached to the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group and is currently in a selective restricted availability.
