160502-N-EH218-006 � SOUTH CHINA SEA (May 2, 2016) � Senior Chief Quartermaster Wolfgang Hopf, German navy, scans the navigational radar on the bridge of the guided-missile cruiser USS Mobile Bay (CG 53). Hopf recently qualified as officer of the deck underway during a personal exchange program assignment aboard Mobile Bay. Providing a ready force supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific, Mobile Bay is operating as part of the John C.
