(April 4, 2016) – Machinist’s Mate First Class Kanietha Martin, a sexual assault response and prevention victim advocate, recites part of “The Teal letter” during the signing or the 2016 Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM) Proclamation at Waterfront Readiness April 4. “The Teal Letter” was written by a group of sexual assault survivors who wanted to educate the public about the consequences of sexual assault and how it affects victims and survivors emotionally, physically, socially and mentally.
