160313-N-KB426-073GWANGYANG, REPUBLIC OF KOREA (Mar. 13, 2016) – Amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) onloads a M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank, attached to Delta Company 1st Tank Battalion, Delta Company, 1st U.S. Marine Division. Germantown is assigned to the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group (BHRESG) and is participating in Ssang Yong 16 a biennial combined amphibious exercise designed to strengthen interoperability and working relationships across a wide range of military operations from disaster relief to complex expeditionary operations.
