(Jan. 20, 2016) Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) Ray Mabus delivers remarks to the crew of the guided-missile destroyer USS Stockdale (DDG 106) over the 1MC before the ship gets underway with alternative fuel as part of its regular operational supply. Stockdale is deploying as part of the USS John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group, which marks the beginning of the year-long Great Green Fleet initiative. Mabus started the initiative to make our Sailors and Marines better warfighters, able to go farther, stay longer and deliver more firepower.
