(Dec. 21, 2017) - Military Sealift Command Civilian Mariner 3rd Mate Darrel Tracy, stands lookout watch aboard the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), as she transits the Columbia River following a scheduled dry-dock phase maintenance availability in Portland, Ore. The ship will soon be conducting sea trials, which constitutes the final determination of a ship’s ability to rejoin the fleet as an operational unit to conduct maintenance and support of submarines and surface vessels deployed to the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
