171119-N-UX999-004 COMODORO RIVADAVIA, Argentina (Nov. 19, 2018) The first set of equipment from Undersea Rescue Command (URC) arrives in Argentina to support search and rescue operations for the Argentine submarine ARA San Juan (S-42), Nov. 19, 2017. URC is deploying two rescue assets, the Submarine Rescue Chamber (SRC) and the Pressurized Rescue Module (PRM). URC Sailors deploying with the rescue systems are highly trained on their use and routinely exercise employing advanced technology in submarine rescue scenarios. U.S. Air Force C-17 "Globemaster IIIs" and C-5 "Galaxies" from Travis Air Force Base, Calif. and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, are transporting the equipment from Marice Corps Air Station Miramar to Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina.
