171101-N-XU691-151 INDIAN OCEAN (Nov. 1, 2017) Marines perform a functions check for the onboard oxygen generating system of an F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the “Death Rattlers” of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 323 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The ship and its carrier strike group is on a deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts.
