171101-N-MU198-075 SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Nov. 1, 2017) Aviation Electronics Technician 1st Class Mark Vogel signals an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, attached to the "Sea Knights" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 22, to take off from the flight deck of the Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) during flight operations. Comfort is moored pier side in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to provide humanitarian relief. The Department of Defense is supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
