171031-N-ZN152-0029 SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Oct. 31, 2017) An ambulance from Bayamon Hospital in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, transports a discharged patient after receiving care aboard the Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20). Comfort is moored pierside in San Juan to provide humanitarian relief. The Department of Defense is supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
