171024-M-UA667-0009 PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 24, 2017) As Landing Craft, Air Cushion 74 approaches the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23) well deck, Marines and Sailors aboard the vessel prepare equipment for embarkation as part of expeditionary advanced base operations during Exercise Dawn Blitz. The exercise provides an opportunity for collaboration between Navy and Marine Corps counterparts to establish scalable and agile expeditionary advanced bases capable of expanding littoral maneuver capabilities.
