171019-N-TB148-305 BUSAN, Republic of Korea (Oct. 19, 2017) A MH-53E Sea Dragon helicopter assigned to the "Vanguards" of Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron (HM) 14, Detachment 2A, lowers a sonar buoy designed to detect underwater mines during the annual Multinational Mine Warfare Exercise. The mine countermeasures exercise between the U.S., Republic of Korea and U.N. Command Sending States is designed to increase combined capabilities and readiness to respond to any contingency on the Korean peninsula.
