171018-N-OY799-707 WATERS EAST OF THE KOREAN PENINSULA (Oct. 18, 2017) The aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) and the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Stethem (DDG 63) are underway alongside ships from the Republic of Korea (ROK) navy. Ronald Reagan is the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, conducting a bilateral training exercise with the ROK navy designed to increase the readiness of U.S. and ROK forces and maintain stability on the Korean Peninsula.
