171018-N-MU198-023 CARIBBEAN SEA (Oct. 18, 2017) Aviation Boatswain�s Mate (Aircraft Handling) 2nd Class Eric Klaumenzer signals an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the "Sea Knights" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 22 to take off from the U.S. Navy hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) during a medical evacuation. Comfort is operating in the vicinity of San Juan, Puerto Rico, to provide medical services with additional visits being planned around the island. The Department of Defense is supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
