171018-N-BD308-0078 SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Oct.18, 2017) Naval Aircrewman 1st Class (Helicopter) Christopher Downey, assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 7, attached to the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), stows oxygen tanks inside an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter. Wasp is assisting with relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. The Department of Defense is supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
