171009-N-OW182-0105 MANAMA, Bahrain (Oct. 9, 2017) Information Systems Technician 3rd Class Jackson Champion raises the Navy Jack aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Kidd (DDG 100) as the ship arrives in Bahrain for a port visit. Kidd is deployed to the U. S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
