171008-N-MC499-010 SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Oct. 8, 2017) Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 1st Class David Wretsch, assigned to the the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), loads drinking water into an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter at Luis Munoz Marin Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for distribution to the citizens of Centro Communal, Puerto Rico. Kearsarge is assisting with relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. The Department of Defense is supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
