Alex Laabs organizes members of the Mobile, Alabama, Chamber of Commerce into groups during a tour of the littoral combat ship USS Independence (LCS 2). Independence held a tour as a part of the 2017 Intercity Visit. The first ship in the Independence-variant class is designed to be fast, agile, shallow draft and mission-focused with the ability to operate in littorals and open ocean.
