170911-N-UN744-088 POINT LOOKOUT, New York (Sept. 11, 2017) Chief select Danielle Marbley, assigned to Navy Recruiting District New York, takes a rubbing from the Point Lookout Sept. 11th Memorial of Chief Information Systems Technician Gregg Smallwood, who died during the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon. Marbley and other Sailors living in New York stood alongside members of the New York Fire Department during the unveiling ceremony for the 9/11 Memorial at Point Lookout, N.Y. Sailors from Navy Recruiting District New York and Navy Operational Support Center Long Island took part in the unveiling of the memorial, which includes a steel beam from the World Trade Center, plaques with the names of the victims, an elevated walkway and additional plaques with the names of first responders who have passed away from illnesses related to recovery efforts at ground zero.
