170908-N-OA516-0013 NORFOLK (Sept. 8, 2017) Sailors assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28 conduct pre-flight inspections on MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopters onboard Naval Station Norfolk. HSC-28 departed Naval Station Norfolk to embark aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) in preparation for potential hurricane relief efforts. The DoD is supporting FEMA, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Irma to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
