170901-N-WH681-064 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Sept. 1, 2017) An MV-22 Osprey lands on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). The ship is onloading personnel, equipment and supplies in preparation to assist with disaster relief efforts in the Gulf region. U.S. Fleet Forces Command is sending personnel and assets to bolster Northern Command’s support of Federal Emergency Management Agency’s assistance to federal, state and local authorities’ ongoing relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
