170831-N-UX013-323 NAVAL BASE GUAM (Aug. 31, 2017) Electronics Technician 2nd Class Sarah Lee, a Navy Reservist from St. Louis, tightens a bolt to a glide slope indicator under the instruction of Interior Communications Electrician 2nd Class Ignacio Nuno, from Suttons Bay, Mich., during routine maintenance on the helicopter tower of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48). Ashland is in Guam for a scheduled voyage repair availability while Marines assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU) conduct unit-level training ashore. Ashland is operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to enhance partnerships and be a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
