170830-N-RF885-001 DJIBOUTI (Aug. 30, 2017) Sailors assigned to Coastal Riverine Squadron (CRS) 1 provide harbor and seaward protection for the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11) in Djibouti City, Djibouti. CRS 1 is forward-deployed in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations and conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied, joint, and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
