170830-M-WQ703-017 LOS ANGELES (Aug. 30, 2017) Culinary Specialist 1st Class Mario Hodge, assigned to the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23), cuts a 2x4 during a Habitat for Humanity neighborhood rebuild project in Long Beach, Calif., during Los Angeles Fleet Week (LAFW). LAFW is an opportunity for the public to meet their Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard teams and experience America's sea services. During fleet week, service members will participate in various community service events, showcase capabilities and equipment to the community and enjoy the hospitality that Los Angeles and surrounding areas have to offer.
