170829-N-UX013-315 APRA HARBOR, Guam (Aug. 29, 2017) Sailors and Marines assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) load a forklift and water tank onto Landing Craft Utility 1651, assigned to Naval Beach Unit 7, during a stern-gate marriage in the ship�s well deck. Ashland is in Guam for a scheduled voyage repair availability while Marines assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU) will conduct unit-level training ashore. Ashland is operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to enhance partnerships and be a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
