170829-N-UX013-279 APRA HARBOR, Guam (Aug. 29, 2017) Sailors assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) connect Landing Craft Utility 1651, assigned to Naval Beach Unit 7, for a stern-gate marriage in the ship�s well deck. Ashland is in Guam for a scheduled voyage repair availability while Marines assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU) will conduct unit-level training ashore. Ashland is operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to enhance partnerships and be a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
