170829-N-UX013-255 APRA HARBOR, Guam (Aug. 29, 2017) Boatswain�s Mate 3rd Class Chad Williams, assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48), heaves line to crew members of Landing Craft Utility (LCU) 1651, assigned to Naval Beach Unit 7, during a stern-gate marriage on the ship�s well deck. Ashland is in Guam for a scheduled voyage repair availability while Marines assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU) will conduct unit-level training ashore. Ashland is operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to enhance partnerships and be a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
