(Aug. 29, 2017) First class petty officers from various commands throughout the nation participate in the Small Arms Marksmanship Trainer, during the Back to Boot Camp program Aug. 29 at Recruit Training Command. The program is a five-day re-indoctrination to basic naval training and standards. SAMT is a simulated computer aided shooting range that using air pneumatic powered 9mm guns replicating the realistic coil and recoil when shooting the 9mm pistol during live fire qualifications.
